Kelli Burgess

Kelli Burgess is the Hospital Manager at Valley View Animal Hospital, bringing more than 12 years of experience in veterinary medicine and a passion for both patient care and people leadership.

Kelli began her veterinary career 12 years ago as a receptionist at a General Practice clinic in Greeley. Her passion for veterinary medicine quickly grew, leading her to pursue and obtain her Registered Veterinary Technician license. She spent several years working in General Practice before moving into mobile surgery, where she was able to combine her love of surgery with her passion for continued learning. During this time, she had the opportunity to learn gold-standard surgical processes from an amazing board-certified veterinary surgeon.

Kelli eventually transitioned into Emergency Room medicine, working as an RVT and later as an E.R. Manager for 2.5 years. It was during this chapter of her career that she discovered her love for management and supporting veterinary teams.

Today, Kelli loves sharing her knowledge, skills, and experiences with her team while helping foster a positive, supportive workplace culture. She is a strong advocate for her team’s needs and takes great pride in helping team members develop their skills, grow in their careers, and achieve their goals.

Born and raised in Colorado, Kelli is the proud mom of two grown children who have always been the joy of her life. She is married to her high school sweetheart, Kenny. When she isn’t working, Kelli enjoys spending time with her family, touring local breweries with Kenny, attending car shows and drag races, and paddle boarding.

Kelli has always had a huge love for animals, especially dogs. Bumble, pictured here, is her beloved little shadow, while Harley Quinn is one of the many dogs Kelli has had the privilege of giving a forever home throughout her years in veterinary medicine. She loves nothing more than spoiling her dogs and is known to say, “The best dog is a spoiled dog!” 🐾
